Prospects for joint production of electric trains, passenger cars and metro cars in Uzbekistan with Tatarstan were discussed in Tashkent

The Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov met with representatives of the Russian delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko, the correspondent of the ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.

According to the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, the meeting discussed the implementation of joint projects in the field of development of transport engineering.

In particular, the parties exchanged views on the creation of joint capacities for the production of electric trains, passenger cars and metro cars. Aspects related to the deep localization of production processes were also considered.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work on the implementation of promising projects.
