Consultations between Uzbekistan and China took place in Tashkent

On July 12, 2024, the Uzbek-Chinese inter-MFA consultations with the PRC delegation headed by the National Coordinator for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Haizhou were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the press service of the MFA reports.

The parties discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation within the SCO and other issues of the current Chinese chairmanship in the Organization.

Special attention was paid to the practical implementation of the initiatives of the Leaders of the two countries announced at the SCO Summit in Astana in July 2024 and the development of documents, the subsequent implementation of which will give a qualitatively new impetus to cooperation in the fields of politics, security, economics and humanitarian ties within the Organization.

The National Coordinator for SCO Affairs from China Zhang Haizhou was received by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan B. Usmanov.
