The 4th Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan Interregional Forum was held in Tashkent

On 22 August, the 4th Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan Interregional Forum was held in Tashkent with the participation of Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov, heads of regions and representatives of the business communities of the two countries. The Forum brought together around 420 companies, the press service of the MIIT reports.

It was noted that over the past decade, bilateral trade has increased 26-fold, reaching USD 795 million in 2025. The portfolio of investment and trade projects has exceeded USD 10 billion.

The main focus was placed on expanding interregional and business cooperation. Priority areas include industry and deep processing of raw materials, the agro-industrial sector, textiles, tourism and territorial development, trade and logistics.

Particular emphasis was placed on developing complete value chains, localizing new production facilities, and leveraging the potential of the Middle Corridor to facilitate access to European markets.

The Forum continued with B2B and G2B meetings. Following the event, it was proposed to develop joint action plans for 2026–2027, while the exchange of bilateral documents formalized the agreements reached.
