According to the statistical office, the top three in this indicator are Russian (529 enterprises in January-August), Turkish (225 enterprises) and Chinese (163 enterprises) investors.
As of September 1, the number of operating enterprises with foreign capital in Uzbekistan amounted to 14,706 (+ 12.4% compared to January-August 2021).
In particular, 2,762 enterprises operate with the participation of Russian business (18.8% of the total number of operating companies), Turkish investors – 2,071 (14.1%), Chinese – 2,044 (13.9%).
Russia remains one of the largest foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan, and the investments of Russian companies in its economy have already amounted to more than $10 billion. The Russian Federation retained the second place in the list of the main foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan, trade turnover between the countries in January-June 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 increased by 32% to $4.065 billion.
