Meat imports are growing in Uzbekistan

According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-March 2022, 10.4 thousand tons of cattle meat were imported to Uzbekistan, which is equivalent to 46.3 million US dollars.

Imports of cattle meat increased by 4.6 thousand tons compared to the corresponding period last year.

For 3 months of 2022 , most meat was imported to Uzbekistan from the following countries:

• Belarus — 6.3 thousand tons
• Kazakhstan — 2.6 thousand tons
• Brazil — 571 tons
• Ukraine — 437.5 tons

In early March, Pakistan launched meat supplies to Uzbekistan. First, 18 tons of meat were sent, and then another 50 containers.
