An Uzbek-Turkish business forum was held in Frankfurt am Main

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan, together with the Association of Entrepreneurs “MÜSIAD Hessen e.V.”, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the city of Hanau and the non-governmental organization of business and industrial council of Uzbekistan “UZBIC” organized a business forum with the participation of business circles of the two countries, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

The event was aimed at expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between leading enterprises of Uzbekistan, Turkey and Germany to implement joint investment projects, increasing exports of Uzbek products to Germany, as well as enhancing the image of our country as a promising business partner and a popular tourist destination.

On the eve of the forum, B2B negotiations were organized between members of UZBIC and leading German-Turkish companies such as “SUNTAT”, “AHINUR” and “AK-PA Handels GmbH”. At the meetings, specific steps were outlined to establish a constructive dialogue and further expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of gastronomy, textile industry, logistics, construction and other areas.

During the event, it was emphasized that Uzbekistan in its foreign policy attaches special importance to the dynamic development of trade, economic and friendly ties with the fraternal Turkish people.

In turn, the Turkish side stated that over the course of 50 years, Turkish business has mastered and adapted well to the conditions of Germany and the European Union as a whole. Today, about 90 thousand German-Turkish enterprises and companies are registered in Germany alone. At the same time, they expressed their readiness to assist Uzbek exporters in selling goods to European markets and providing warehouse space for temporary storage of products.

Video material about the tourism potential of Uzbekistan and its rich culture was also presented to the attention of those present. Representatives of the Turkish diaspora supported the idea of organizing regular trips to Uzbekistan, including for pilgrimages to the land of their ancestors.

Bilateral meetings were organized within the framework of the forum, during which further practical steps to intensify business contacts were outlined. Preliminary agreements have been reached on close cooperation in the field of export of knitwear, cosmetics, dried fruits and fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan. It was agreed to hold a meeting in a similar format in Uzbekistan next year, as well as a joint celebration of Navruz with the participation of representatives of the Uzbek and Turkish diaspora in Germany.

The event was attended by journalists and cameramen of the International Press Club of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the local press.

A similar event was also held in Prague, at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.

“UZBIC” is a non-profit organization created in 2022 by a group of entrepreneurs to promote the development of business and industry.

“MUSIAD Hessen e.V” – founded in 1996 by the Turkish diaspora in Germany. It is a platform for cooperation between business structures, as well as social and cultural exchange. Its structure includes more than 1,200 members. It has 10 representative offices in Germany, 22 throughout Europe, 168 throughout the world. The organization carries out 25% of Turkey’s exports.
