Uzbekistan’s GDP grew by 1.6% in 2020

The State Committee on Statistics published a report, according to which, in 2020, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan at current prices amounted to 580.2 trillion sum.

The growth compared to 2019 was 1.6%. Goods accounted for 341.5 trillion sum, services – 194.4 trillion sum, taxes – 44.3 trillion sum.

Calculated in US dollars at the average exchange rate, nominal GDP was $ 57,698, which is less than in 2019 (then it was $ 57,711 million).

GDP per capita amounted to 16.9 million sum (1,685.5) and decreased by 0.3% compared to 2019.

According to the World Bank, the GDP of the Republic of Uzbekistan in purchasing power parity (PPP) for 2019 amounted to 245.4 billion US dollars. In other CIS countries, GDP at PPP for 2019 was: in the Russian Federation – 4,281.8 billion US dollars; in Ukraine – 562.2; Kazakhstan – 509.5; in Belarus – 189.3; Azerbaijan – 150.8; Armenia – 42.2; Moldova – 36.2; Kyrgyzstan – 35.4; Tajikistan –  32.9 billion US dollars.
