On December 2 in Urumchi, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ilzat Kasimov, took part in the Tianshan Forum dedicated to economic cooperation with the countries of Central Asia, the press service of the Ministry reports.
He delivered remarks at the official opening ceremony and during the session “Investing in Central Asia”, where he outlined Uzbekistan’s economic policy priorities, progress of ongoing reforms, and new investment opportunities for foreign partners in key sectors of the economy.
As part of the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Mongolia, and senior officials of major international financial institutions, including the Export-Import Bank of China (China Exim Bank), the New Development Bank (NDB), and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). The discussions focused on financing prospective projects, attracting investment, and expanding partnership opportunities.
In addition, a working group meeting between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region was held to advance trade and economic cooperation.
