Uzbek diplomats and a delegation from the Mari El Republic discussed promising areas of trade and economic cooperation

A meeting with representatives of the Mari El Republic’s business mission was held at the Consulate General in Kazan with the participation of the Russian Foreign Ministry Representative Office in Yoshkar-Ola, the correspondent of Dunyo news agency reports.

During the talks, the parties noted the high level of interregional cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and Russia. Participants were informed about the economic and industrial potential of our country, ongoing reforms to support small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the benefits and preferences available in free economic zones and mechanisms for attracting foreign investment.

Representatives of the Mari El Republic presented the capabilities of their industrial enterprises and discussed prospects for developing trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as industrial collaboration with their Uzbek partners.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize reciprocal visits by industry-specific business missions and further develop practical interactions between the business communities of the two countries’ regions.
