The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan held talks

On December 11, upon arrival in Ashgabat, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The head of state sincerely congratulated the Turkmen leader on this historic date – the thirtieth anniversary of permanent neutrality – and wished him success at the International Forum dedicated to this significant date, scheduled for tomorrow.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to the further expansion of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of strategic partnership, friendship, and good-neighborliness, primarily in the political, interparliamentary, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan also discussed current regional and international issues.
