A solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 1 MW was put into operation at the Talimarjan TPP

According to the investment project, two gas turbine units are being built at the Tashkent CHP, the press service of the Tashkent CHP reports.

The total capacity of this project, the general contractor of which is the Turkish company Calik Enerji, is 64 MW.

Recently, the first gas turbine unit from the Japanese company “Mitsubishi” was delivered to the construction site.

Upon completion of the project, the annual electricity generation will be 515 million kWh and heat energy 630 thousand Gcal.

As a result, 219 thousand cubic meters of natural gas will be saved and more than 40 new jobs will be created.

This project is being implemented in order to ensure the implementation of the Presidential Decree “On measures to accelerate the development and ensure the financial stability of the electric power industry.”

It is noteworthy that in order to meet the needs of the population of Tashkent in thermal and electrical energy, construction work is planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
