Attracting investments from Saudi Arabia to the road construction sector of Uzbekistan is being discussed

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Transport with representatives of a consortium of Saudi companies Al Bawani Company and Shibh Al Jazira Contracting Company (SAJCO), the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

According to the ministry, Deputy Minister of Transport Ilham Abdugafarov discussed with Al Bawani Public-Private Partnership Projects Director Jamil Adi and SAJCO Cooperation Director Vakkos Ismail the implementation of projects within the framework of public-private partnership in the field of road construction.

Recall that during the state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Saudi Arabia on August 17-19, the transport departments of the two states signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of civil aviation. In addition, as a result of the talks, a decision was made to further expand existing ties in the field of transport, in particular, to organize regular flights between the cities of the two countries.
