The Embassy of Uzbekistan organized a seminar in the city of Seki, Gifu Prefecture, on the economic, investment potential and existing workforce in our country, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.
For representatives of business in the city of Seki, a presentation was held on the investment potential of our country, favorable conditions created for foreign investors, the advantages of doing business in Uzbekistan, as well as the possibilities of exporting Uzbek national products to third countries.
During the event, attention was paid to issues of external labor migration. It was noted that Japan and Uzbekistan signed memorandums of bilateral cooperation to attract technical trainees and specially qualified workers in the field of external migration. It was reported that on the basis of the Ishga Markhamat monocenters in our country, the activities of the “Center for Testing the Japanese Language and Professional Qualifications” have begun.
Considering that the majority of the population of Uzbekistan is able-bodied youth, the issue of providing them with a legal place of work in Japan was discussed. Diplomats put forward a proposal to attract Uzbek specialists to vacant jobs in sectors of interest to Seki companies.
Representatives of Japanese companies confirmed the availability of vacancies in the above areas in Gifu Prefecture and are ready to hire technical trainees from Uzbekistan.
Representatives of Japan who took part in the seminar were also invited to the III Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will be held on May 2-3.
