The Chairperson of the Senate met with the delegation of the state of Utah, USA

On April 24, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva held negotiations with a delegation led by Chairman of the Senate of the State of Utah Stuart Adams, the press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

Important areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States were considered, in particular, issues of developing ties in the field of trade, economic, labor relations, gender equality, and strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue.

During the dialogue, an exchange of views took place on the implementation of joint projects in the field of investment, the market of goods and services, the mining industry, energy, and information technology. The importance of implementing specific projects of mutual interest with the business community of Utah, establishing cooperation and strengthening ties between regions was emphasized.

During the conversation, the parties focused on the issues of intensifying social projects to establish cooperation in the field of gender equality, labor relations and migration, healthcare and education.

Stuart Adams emphasized that he follows and highly appreciates the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. He also noted that the Utah State Senate is ready to attract all opportunities in a number of areas and the leaders of leading companies are interested in this, in particular, to support business and entrepreneurial activities, and establish promising projects in the social sphere.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached on the further development of interparliamentary dialogue, the establishment of cooperation between local representative bodies and the exchange of experience.
