The President of Uzbekistan and the Prime Minister of Hungary noted the importance of further expanding multifaceted cooperation

As part of the program of the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States, on July 6, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, the press service of the head of our state reports.

Current issues of Uzbek-Hungarian multifaceted cooperation were discussed.

The consistent development of strategic partnership and practical interaction between Uzbekistan and Hungary was noted with satisfaction.

Intensive contacts continue at all levels. In May, a meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission and a business forum were fruitfully held in the city of Tashkent.

In recent years, trade turnover has almost doubled, the number of joint projects and enterprises is growing, and direct flights between Tashkent and Budapest were resumed on June 30.

Particular attention is paid to accelerating the implementation of cooperation projects in the fields of industry, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, logistics, construction and other areas.

The importance of preparing a new portfolio of investment projects and holding a joint Forum of Regions in the city of Kokand by the end of this year was emphasized.

Cooperation in the fields of education, culture and sports has intensified. The need for mutual cultural events aimed at bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together was noted.

An exchange of views also took place on current issues of cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States and the European Union.
