Cooperation with China’s regions is expanding

A business forum dedicated to trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and China was held in Jiangsu Province, China, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing and the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai, the correspondent of Dunyo news agency reports.

The event brought together representatives of Jiangsu provincial ministries and government agencies, chambers of commerce and industry, business circles, and leading companies.

During the forum, it was noted that strategic relations between Uzbekistan and China have been developing dynamically and steadily in recent years. Participants emphasized the increasing frequency of mutual visits by regional delegations and business representatives from both countries.

Presentations were delivered on the favorable investment climate created in Uzbekistan for foreign investors, the trade and economic potential of the country’s regions, key sectors of the economy, opportunities offered by free economic and industrial zones, and Uzbekistan’s tourism potential. Particular attention was paid to the activities and opportunities of the country’s free economic and industrial zones.

Forum participants were also informed about the priority areas of bilateral cooperation, including major joint projects currently being implemented and future plans aimed at further expanding economic ties.

Chinese entrepreneurs expressed their readiness to provide comprehensive support in attracting additional investment to Uzbekistan’s economy and expanding exports of new and high-quality products.

Chen Xiaodong, a representative of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, noted that investment and trade cooperation between China and the countries of Central Asia has been growing year by year.

In particular, he highlighted the significant increase in import and export volumes between Jiangsu Province and Uzbekistan in 2025, as well as the investments made by leading Jiangsu companies in a number of projects in Uzbekistan.

Following the forum, G2B and B2B meetings were held, resulting in agreements on cooperation in several mutually beneficial areas.

The parties also agreed to implement investment projects with Chinese companies across various sectors and to organize business missions of Chinese entrepreneurs to Uzbekistan.
