The Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade signed an investment agreement on the implementation of the project ‘‘Construction of a plant for the production of aluminum beverage cans in the territory of the Special Industrial Park ‘‘Navoi Industrial Development Complex’’ with ‘‘Arnest Packaging Solutions’’ JSC, the press service of the ministry reports.
According to the document, the investments of ‘‘Arnest Packaging Solutions’’ JSC will amount to about $ 100 million, the capacity of the enterprise is over 1.5 billion cans per year. More than 200 new highly qualified jobs will be created at the enterprise. The launch of the plant is planned for the fall of 2025.
‘‘The production of aluminum beverage packaging is a new technology that has not previously been presented in Uzbekistan. It is planned to export more than 30% of the manufactured products. The implementation of the project will also be another example of cooperation, when the government of Uzbekistan creates not only favorable conditions for investment in the form of a preferential tax regime and subsidies, but also physically develops the infrastructure, offering a foreign investor a ready-made production site that fully meets the technical requirements of a particular production’’, – said Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khurram Teshabaev.
‘‘Arnest Packaging Solutions is a leader in the production of aluminum cans in Russia and the EAEU. Localization of production in Uzbekistan will significantly strengthen the company’s presence in export markets in the EAEU, Central Asia and Transcaucasia, and will also free up export volumes produced in Russia and redirect them to satisfy the Russian market’’, – said Alexander Isaev, General Director of ‘‘Arnest Packaging Solutions’’ JSC.
