The growth rate of foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan in January-May 2023 exceeded 120%

The Agency of Statistics under the President of Uzbekistan has released a statistical bulletin “Export-import of goods and services for January-May 2023”, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

According to the agency, during the specified period, Uzbekistan carried out foreign trade with 185 countries of the world.

The indicator of the volume of foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan in the specified period amounted to 25.8 billion US dollars, which is 24% higher than the same indicator for 2022.

Exports amounted to 10.5 billion US dollars, imports – 15.3 billion dollars. Growth rates in both categories exceeded 120% compared to the same period in 2022.

According to the study, Uzbekistan exported fruit and vegetable products worth $407.6 million, as well as textiles and textile products worth $1.72 billion during the specified period.
