Uzbekistan and Egypt discussed joint projects in the agricultural sector

A meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with Ahmad Said Mahmoud, Director of the Agricultural Sector of the Egyptian business development company EBDAA, the correspondent of  Dunyo News Agency reports.

During the talks, the parties discussed in detail the prospects for developing mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.

The EBDAA representative spoke about the company’s many years of experience and the scale of its operations, and expressed interest in implementing joint projects and making investments in Uzbekistan in key priority areas.

In particular, the parties exchanged views on developing strawberry production by utilizing Uzbekistan’s fertile soils and favorable climatic conditions, as well as modern agricultural technologies for cultivating high-quality produce.

Special attention was paid to the prospects for producing specialized plant nutrients and fertilizers that increase crop yields, improve resistance to diseases, and contribute to enhancing soil fertility.

Following the meeting, Ahmad Said Mahmoud confirmed the company’s interest in moving toward the practical implementation of cooperation with Uzbekistan. In this regard, he proposed organizing a series of meetings between representatives of relevant government agencies and interested companies to discuss prospects for joint cooperation in detail.
