Director of the agency Ulugbek Egamov and Chairman of the National Food Afghanistan Drug Administration (AFDA) Abdul Bori Umar discussed issues of bilateral cooperation via videoconference, the correspondent of “Gazeta.uz” reports with reference to the press service of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency.
The Uzbek side made proposals on the participation of enterprises manufacturing pharmaceutical products in Uzbekistan in the public procurement of medicines in Afghanistan.
In addition, Uzbekistan also proposed to create a showroom for the republic’s pharmaceutical products in Afghanistan and speed up the process of registration of Uzbek drugs on the Afghan market.
“Following the results of the negotiations, the proposal to form a joint technical working group to develop proposals and exchange information was supported, it was decided to approve and present its composition in the near future”, – the agency added.
