Issues of mutually beneficial Uzbek-Chinese cooperation in the field of automotive industry discussed in Guangzhou

Representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou held an online meeting with the General Manager of the GAC ISC automotive company Cheng Hebin in order to establish interaction and determine the prospects for cooperation of a large Chinese company in Uzbekistan, the cprrespondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

During the meeting, the Chinese side was informed in detail about the ongoing economic reforms in our country, including in the automotive industry, as well as favorable conditions, benefits and preferences created for foreign companies.

Cheng Hebin spoke about GAC’s ongoing efforts to enter overseas markets. He emphasized the improvement of the business climate in Uzbekistan for foreign investors.

“Our company plans to achieve an increase in production and sales by more than 5 million vehicles per year in the future. We strive to continue to “create value to improve the mobile life of people around the world”, and in this regard, we invite you to visit our factory and discuss specific areas of mutually beneficial cooperation,” said the general manager of the Chinese company.

In turn, Consul General of Uzbekistan Otabek Valiev suggested that the Chinese company explore the possibility of starting a business and assembling GAC high-tech commercial electric vehicles in Uzbekistan.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to hold an online meeting with the participation of interested enterprises from Uzbekistan in order to develop more specific areas of interaction.
