A meeting with the Bank of International Cooperation of Japan was held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance

Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Bobur Khodjaev met with representatives of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. This was reported by the Information Service of Ministry.

For information: Japan Bank for International Cooperation, (JBIC) is a state financial institution established on 1 October 1999 by merging the Japan Export-Import Bank (JEXIM) and the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund (OECF). The main purpose of the institution is to promote economic cooperation between Japan and foreign countries by providing resources for foreign investment and facilitating international trade.

The foreign side was represented by senior officials of the Japan Bank, including Uematsu Yoshihiro, Kawamoto Hiroki, Imai Ken, Itagaki Ayaka and other senior officials.

During the meeting, new socially significant international PPP projects on modernisation of drinking water supply and sewerage infrastructure within the framework of cooperation with JBIC were discussed. 

During the meeting the prospects of attracting investments of leading Japanese companies in various sectors of the economy were also discussed.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to intensify interaction in order to further develop new areas of cooperation.
