Within the framework of the OECD Eurasia Week, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the OECD, marking a new stage in the country’s integration into the global economy, the press service of the MIIT reports.

The document covers 19 priority areas, including improvement of the investment climate, digital transformation, anti-corruption measures, and the development of green energy. Uzbek businesses will gain access to OECD analytics and best international practices, enhancing competitiveness and strengthening investor confidence.

Uzbekistan has also applied to adhere to the OECD Declaration on International Investment and Multinational Enterprises, endorsed by more than 50 countries. This step will reinforce the country’s standing in global rankings and provide additional guarantees for investors.

The cooperation framework envisages modernization of education and healthcare systems, job creation, expansion of renewable energy sources, and strengthening of social protection mechanisms.

On the sidelines of the forum, meetings were held with representatives of participating countries, who confirmed their interest in organizing business missions to Uzbekistan and taking part in the Tashkent International Investment Forum on 16–19 June 2026.
