Issues of expanding cooperation with Poland in trade, banking and finance areas were discussed in Warsaw

A meeting of Uzbek diplomats with the leadership of one of the leading Polish banks “Bank Pekao SA” and representatives of member companies of the Chamber was held at the Poland-Asia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

At the meeting, issues of establishing cooperation with such Polish companies as “Seneka Poland”, “P.H. Royal sp. z o.o.”, “Everest Work Solution” and others specializing in import-export operations.

In turn, the presentation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan provided detailed information on the state and prospects of Uzbek-Polish cooperation, economic, investment and tourism potential of our country.

Former Deputy Prime Minister of Poland and Chairman of the Poland-Asia Chamber of Commerce and Industry Janusz Piechochinsky spoke about his participation in the Second Tashkent International Investment Forum in April this year, as well as monitoring the progress of the national referendum in Uzbekistan as an international observer.

According to him, Poland is closely following the rapid changes and development process in Uzbekistan. A comprehensive program for the development and modernization of the republic is an excellent opportunity to expand cooperation with Polish business, beneficial for both parties.

The head of the Polonia Union Foundation, Edgard Skarzynski, emphasized that the increase in exports of Uzbek textile products to Poland and the European Union is a unique example of mutually effective actions. The regular participation of Uzbek manufacturers in international exhibitions in Poland significantly increases the number of contracts.

Dmitry Kushnerov, Director of the Department of International Banking Operations and Export Financing of Bank Pekao SA, noted with satisfaction that the bank had established mutually beneficial cooperation with the Uzbek Asakabank, Hulk Bank and Ipoteka Bank.

He also expressed interest in attracting commercial credit lines from Bank Pekao SA to approved projects for the socio-economic development of the regions of Uzbekistan and expressed his readiness to establish cooperation with Microcreditbank through negotiations in the G2G format.
